SV Presents: Dringo Starr, Joey Phoenix & The Clubhouse, and Mr. Max!!
St. Rocke is playing host to Small Victories’ debut show in the Los Angeles! All three acts have roots in the South Bay, and we’re thrilled to present such a talented and eclectic bill.
Dringo Starr is the best band in the world. They are based in Cleveland and stem from influences such as Phil Collins, Knower, and Steve Brule. Since their inception, they have sold out two Ikea’s and a Walmart. Dringo Starr is made up of Ronnie (Lead Vocals, Guitar) and Timmy (Lead Vocals, Keys).
JOEY PHOENIX & THE CLUBHOUSE
Joey Phoenix and the Clubhouse are five friends grinding it out in the grimy streets and sun bleached shores of LA to bring their brand of breezy, danceable rock and roll to the people.
Imagine if Howlin’ Wolf and The Beach Boys got in a bar fight, and Robbie Robertson had to step in and break it up. Joey Phoenix and the Clubhouse is the sound blaring from a blown-out juke box speaker as you day drink in a roadhouse dive.
Joey Phoenix and the Clubhouse have already performed at Universal Bar, and the House of Blues. Catch them all over LA for the rest of 2018.
“Mr. Max” is the solo project former Atomic Walrus guitarist Max Cohen.
Max’s music is eclectic and blends a wide range of influences including indie rock, funk, punk and pop.
Inspired by Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, Max seeks to self-produce as much of the music is he can- playing guitar, bass, programming drums and self-recording in his bedroom.
