Blind Wine Tasting – Where in the World?

June 22, 2017

June 22, 2017

7:30 pm To 9:30 pm

The Slip Bar and Eatery, International Boardwalk, Redondo Beach, CA, United States

Event Description

Join us for our Second Blind Wine Tasting at The Slip and keep the souvenir glass!

Can you tell a California Pinot from a French Pinot? Sommelier Nanci Hemminger will teach us how to spot the differences in the same varietal from different regions.

What makes it a blind tasting? As you learn, you’ll be tested to name the varietals of the wines you are tasting.  Correctly identify all nine, and we’ll comp your tasting!

Plus, on Tuesdays, all wine bottles are 50% off so you can stay and enjoy your favorite with some of our delicious food!

Sommelier Nancie Hemminger is a free thinker in the modern wine world. She believes that the best wines are the ones that you enjoy the most. As a Wine Educator she is passionate about helping you find the style of wine that speaks to your soul. With a few powerful ideas and a handful of concepts, she will help explain wine’s dramatic variations of style. Once you know why wines taste the way they do, and how to zero in on these styles that suit your taste, you’ll feel more in control when buying. After all, wine drinking is meant to be fun!
