Event Description

The Manhattan Beach Open happens every year, and every year, four athletes get to place their name in history.  The AVP Gold Series // Manhattan Beach Open is known as the Super Bowl of beach volleyball- big stage, big money and big reward as AVP stars enshrine their name on the Manhattan Beach Pier.  The second tournament of the 2018 Gold Series and the last of the four California tournaments. Biggest field of the season… matches on nine courts… immortalized winners… all at the AVP Gold Series // Manhattan Beach Open.  To learn more about the AVP Gold Series and what that means, read here.

Along with more prize money and more points, the AVP Gold Series also means the race to Hawaii.  Two teams from each gender will receive an invitation to the AVP Hawaii Invitational, Presented by HTA based on their best finishes in two of the three Gold Series events.  See where the athletes are in the race with the AVP Gold Series Standings, brought to you by Truly Spiked & Sparkling.
