Restaurant of the Month: SIMMZY'S PUB
Even though it just opened, Manhattan Beach's newest restaurant has already garnered a huge following and is getting rave reviews. With 24 ridiculously tasty microbrews on tap, plus a full, varied wine list, Simmzy's is the new hotspot. Occupying the former property of the shabu-shabu restaurant Ebizo's Skewer, the owners knocked the front wall out and opened up the whole facade to downtown Manhattan Beach. The result is a relaxed, airy atmosphere that has the feel of Miami Beach without the attitude. Located in the heart of the city, the ocean and MB Pier are a straight shot just 2 blocks away.
Owners Mike and Chris Simms already have a good percentage of the South Bay's restaurants under their belts, including Mimi’s Café, Lazy Dog Café and the legendary Kettle. They have partnered up with chef Anne Conness to create delicious pub style grub, all of which goes great with any of the many beers offered.
