Restaurant of the Month: Creme de la Crepe

A French sidewalk creperie two blocks from the beach? That serves smoked trout and escargot as appetizers, luncheons of panini, beef bourguignon and quiches, as well as crêpes? You're not dreaming. 

This charming bistro offers crepes along with a variety of French-style cuisine.

With restaurants in Redondo Beach, Long Beach, Pasadena, and Manhattan Beach, in addition to Hermosa Beach, Creme de la Crepe offers brunch, lunch and dinner. Serving salads, soups, sandwiches and entrees in addition to its signature crepes, Creme de la Crepe also offers dinner specials and cheese fondue. 

They are famous for their amazing crepes. Sweet or savory? When it comes to the crepes, that is the question. The most popular choices include the Montagnarde—raclette cheese over proscuitto and potatoes—and the Décadente— flambéed cinnamon baked apples with brown sugar. Devoted Francophiles can also feast on omelettes, salads, quiche, fondue and beef bourguignon.
