South Bay Events presents its pick of the month for August 2011!

Known as "Old Tony's," Tony's On The Pier is a spectacular rendezvous for romantic seaside dining but it can easily offer itself as a venue for cocktails and philosophy. Situated right on the Pacific Ocean atop the Redondo Beach Pier, Tony's offers breathtaking views, classic ambiance, live music nightly, and a museum of pictures and personalities that hearken back to the 1970s & 1980s. The second story fish-bowl bar atop Old Tony's is a South Bay icon and a must visit for any cocktail aficionado. It's a classic time-warp where the rhythm of the ocean compliments the 360 degree view of Redondo Beach Pier. Order a Fire Chief, a high octane Mai-Tai, to settle your nerves and sit back and enjoy the stellar live music that accompanies the Fish Bowl Monday through Sunday.

Mid-Century tiki buffs and old school lounge lovers will find a home at Tony's, as it's been a long time favorite of SBE for its casual demeanor and tacky but charming personality. Below the fish-bowl bar is the 1st level of Tony's where you can eat, relax by a fire pit, or saddle up next to the down-stairs bar. Listen closely and you might hear the spirits of Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise pitch ideas for a "Cannonball Run Part III."
