Easy Reader said, " Sun and Moon Cafe may be the most daring and interesting restaurant in downtown Manhattan Beach." The menu is comprised of a brave mix of Japanese,Vietnamese and Californian ideas. Chef Hiro reinvents standard items such as the California Roll, which he bakes with spicy sauces to create a new taste sensation. Try the Chicken with cherry wine sauce, the tempura calamari, known as the best in the region, or the unlikely but wonderful tofu dish with vegetables.

This little restaurant will change your mind about flavor combinations and charm you with the attentive service and modest prices. Relax over lunch on the comfortable patio or have a fine dinner indoors. Either way, you will be glad you dropped by. Oh, did we mention that the staff regularly convinces customers to attempt a "Beer Funnel" after a meal?
