True to its idyllic World War II atmosphere, all meals here are made from scratch, particularly the desert goods. The griddle at Ocean Diner gets a serious daily workout, morning classics like Blueberry Pancakes, French Toast, and waffles soothe the everyday palate. Homemade creations like Cinnamon Roll French Toast and Granola Banana Pancakes make breakfast feel like a holiday. You can even order a Waffle Sundae with your Java Man coffee.

Breakfast is a must here, there’s an array of skillet & omelette choices beckon to be read but there’s one meal you must order… in Spanish. Huevos Rancheros (Ranch eggs) are a made with a crispy tortilla and smothered with a green tomatillo sauce, a perfect twist to a Mexican-American favorite.

Ocean Diner is relatively small by traditional Diner standards but it moves customers through its door at an efficient pace. Get their early on the weekends because parking can be scarce. Come with your family, friends, or sit at the counter-top by yourself, it’s actually quite common to see a party of one on a stool here.
