Riviera Village Summer Festival
The South Bay summer rolls on this weekend with another outstanding community, good-time event that hosts traditional street fair favorites right in the heart of Redondo Beaches’ Riviera Village. The 34th Annual Riviera Village Summer Festival retro-fits this quaint shopping and dining enclave with a beer garden, a “No cost bike corral” valet service, over 250 arts and craft booths, an international food court, and other down home attractions. Thanks to the Riviera Village Association, this Saturday and Sunday the corner of Catalina Avenue and Avenue I become family friendly from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Live music will serenade folks throughout the festival with hip tribute tunes from some bar stool standouts like Purple Haze, Mock5, and The Hash Band. Kids can enjoy carnival rides and a community stage that will feature youth bands and dance studio group.
Getting To and Around Riviera Village Summer Festival
Parking will be very limited unless you arrive at 9 a.m. with a pocket full of quarters. Keep Riviera Village in Redondo Beach "green" by riding your bike and parking for FREE at this year's festival. The “no cost bike corral” is sponsored by the Beach Cities Health District and located at the intersection of Vista Del Mar and Camino de la Costa. If car parking gets tight, there will be free shuttle service from West High School.
